When complex marine operations have to work safely in the real world, that's where I add value.
As a Master Mariner, I've spent my career delivering complex marine operations worldwide. My experience spans tug command, offshore vessels, crew transfer vessels, marine survey, ROV operations and crewed submersibles, supporting projects from offshore renewables to scientific expeditions and subsea technology trials.
I specialise in turning technical capability into practical offshore delivery. Working at the interface between vessels, people and technology, I help ensure that complex operations are carried out safely, efficiently and with a clear understanding of real-world operational constraints.
My background combines command experience with hands-on involvement in offshore technology. As a Master Mariner, submersible pilot and ROV pilot, I understand both the technical capabilities of specialist equipment and the practical realities of deploying it safely and effectively offshore. This enables me to bridge the gap between technical teams, vessel crews and project delivery, helping turn complex plans into successful offshore operations.
Today I work with vessel operators, engineering companies, technology developers and project teams, providing specialist support for marine survey, offshore construction, renewable energy, subsea systems, expedition projects and emerging marine technologies.
Based in Dorset, UK. Available worldwide for specialist marine operations, offshore technology projects and consultancy where practical experience makes the difference.
A simple solution to your subsea challenges
GPS & USBL Location Tracking
We can locate lost subsea items and give an accurate GPS position or assist with recovery. Survey a specific area or inspect subsea infrastructure. The ability to hold position against the elements gives us excellent stability when taking images.

Grabber Arm & Thickness Probe
Recovery of items, taking samples and measuring metal thickness on structures and ship's hulls are just a few of the applications the external implements on our ROV can be utilised for.
The ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle)
The star of the show, our ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle), is a Bluerov2 heavy, which can operate to a depth of 300m and can be used for a range of applications and operations, from surveys and inspections to retrieval, SAR and high-quality images and video.
300m Depth Range
We can easily access depths which would otherwise necessitate specialist dive equipment. Utilising powerful lights, we have excellent visuals even at depth and in poor visibility.
Sonar and DVL.
Using sonar we can easily locate items and infrastructure partially covered by silt and mud. It is a useful tool when carrying out surveys and inspections, allowing us to set parameters and avoid obstructions. With the DVL the ROV will hold position in up to 2kn of tide.

HD camera 4 and 8k
High quality images and video taken from a stable platform regardless of the what the elements are throwing at us.

The Pilot
Bryn Spencer, is a professional submersible pilot, taking passengers on the dive of a lifetime in some of the world's most breathtakingly stunning underwater locations. He has the privilege of exploring the ocean’s hidden wonders from the icy depths of Antarctica to the vibrant coral reefs of the Caribbean, bringing others along for an unforgettable journey beneath the surface.
Back home on Portland, Dorset, he continues to indulge his passion for the subsea world, piloting our ROV and enjoying both scuba and free diving in his spare time.
Dorset based, operating world wide.

In zero visibility conditions the sonar always returns excellent images.
